POSITIVE IMPACTS OF CABOTAGE ACT 2003 ON THE NIGERIAN MARITIME INDUSTRY AND THE ECONOMY

Abstract

The enactment of the cabotage Act 2003 and its implementation has certainly made some positive impact on the economy of the country. However, this article identified some specific findings with respect to effective Maritime transportation for the purpose transportation of persons, goods and services exclusively by indigenous ship owners of the country. Particular revelation is made in this work in the area of growth in domestic water borne Trade which have comparative advantage.
